But we prefer to stay in Johor Bahru just over the bridge in Malaysia. Much cheaper and nicer there, and only some minutes away from Singapore. eyespan Posted June 30, 2004 Share Posted June 30, 2004 Or if you are stuck on Singapore you can always settle down in Geylang where any of the HOTEL 81 would go for 50 Sing dollars a night. Not bad the rooms. Only drawback is that Geylang is the redlight district of Singapore. Right smack in the middle of food country though, and close to both the airport as well as the bus depot. The difference between these 2 rooms is in terms of decor and in the special rooms, the toilet has an open view from the bedrooms. Such rooms are meant for couples that want an unforgetable night stay in our Hotel. Others like hotel81 and fragrance are $50 per night. though weekend is $60. They are numerous and are located in Geyland, Joo Chiat and Bendemeer. Joo Chiat may be a good option cos there are a few happening pubs like jazzy and blue ocean.
