Chonburi: There's no "cover-up" in the testing for Covid - here's the proof

The provincial authorities in Chonburi - via their PR page on Facebook - said they had proof that theories about the lack of Covid cases being because of the lack of proactive testing were nonsense.

In an effort to disprove such claims they showed a graph that revealed the lab testing carried out in the province.

They said since December there had been no fewer than 600-800 tests per day and tests carried out were even as high as 1,634 on one day.

They assured the public that proactive testing was being done in risky areas and other areas, some with the aid of royally sponsored testing units.

Forty one announcements were a matter of public record and there was no cover-up.

They urged the public to keep up the good fight against the virus.

so if you are testing and there are no detections why is there still a lockdown with many Thai people with no incomes with businesses shut or limited opening

Lock off Pattaya from people entering the city from outside and open it up - according to your latest report of no detections this would make sense - let get things rolling again and get people back to work earning money

800 tests a day on population size???. Thailand is only doing 10000 a day on population of 70 million so Chonburi is accounting for nearly 10% of all tests. Ramp it up to 200k a day and you will soon find I think.

Bit of an oxymoron there!

And they were doing so good before they actually started testing people.
