Far, far,far,far,far,far,far,far,far etc less.

Not sure what your point is?

According to WHO, about 56,000 die in road accidents in Thailand per year. That's about 153 deaths per day.

So far the Covid death in Thailand is 79 for almost one year. People die more from car accidents than Covid at least in Thailand.

So your assumption is wrong.

Don't know from which fantasy web site you got your numbers or whether you just conveniently made them up.

Real numbers are about half of this.

But yes, a lot more people die from RTAs in Thailand than from covid.

About 500 times more.

That's because in Thailand, covid prevention works.

Now, in the USA, where there is no covid prevention:

About half a million covid deaths.

If the USA had 500 times more covid deaths than traffic deaths, like Thailand,  that would be 250 million traffic deaths in the USA.

Maybe someone here can confirm whether American traffic deaths are about 250 million yearly?

If you consider Bangkokpost a 'fantasy' website, then you are indeed living in a fantasy world. Enough said .

I can't link to that post because Thaivisa forbids linking to Bangkokpost.

WRONG - If you are going to make such a statement, fact check.

WHO Stats - Estimated Road Traffic Fatalities in Thailand: 22,000 annual deaths.

Part of the blame for fake tests lies with the absurd test deadlines introduced by some countries. You stand at the airport, your test result is overdue, you have a 1500-dollar flight to the other end of the world departing soon, what do you do? Luckily Thailand is being very reasonable on this, with tests going back 72 hours BEFORE DEPARTURE (compare with "less than 48 hours BEFORE LANDING" on a flight from South America to Europe!).

There's also the official scam of "rapid tests" for 4 times the price.

I don't know if it helps, but Germany for example has this requirement but allows different test types where the results may be known in a much shorter timescale than the PCR test insisted on by most.

Do they? They would allow the antigen quick-test? Didn't know that. Are you sure it's for the test before the flight? Or just upon landing?

Indeed. I wonder though whether you would find quick-tests outside PCR-test which satisfy the so-called WHO quality standards (see below). How do you convince an airline employee at ckeck-in that your RT-LAMP or TMA test fit the bill?

From the (German) horse's mouth:

" Mindestkriterien für die Güte von SARS-CoV-2-Ag-Schnellteste erfüllen. Hierzu zählen Teste, die eine ≥80% Sensitivität und ≥97% Spezifität, verglichen mit PCR-Tests, erreichen (WHO: Antigen-detection in the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection using rapid immunoassays. Interim guidance, 11 September 2020)."

Still, it's good news quicker tests are becoming available.

Canadians went to Mexico to have fun and to get themselves infected.

When going back to Canada,  they faked negative covid tests.

https://www.reuters.com/article/health-coronavirus-canada-travel/canada-fines-two-air-passengers-for-false-covid-19-tests-idINL1N2KO2FV?te=1&nl=coronavirus-briefing&emc=edit_cb_20210219

So their intention was to infect more fellow Canadians?

I hope Mr Anutin doesn't read Reuters. He might get a completely wrong impression of farangs.

Ah, 3% death rate.  Smell that coffee.

More than 90% of people are asymptomatic and never feel sick, so most likely never will get tested.

Some sick people that do not die will not get tested as well.

And many people that are calculated into the deaths are people that did not died because of the virus, just with it. In most countries the average age of a person who died from Corona is the average lifespan of a person in this country.

If you take all this into account, the death rate is much much lower. You cant just take the positively tested people and the deaths and do the calculation. You need to take further things into account while calculating the death rate.

These fake certs are surely gonna spread the virus. Seems the vaccine is the only way to be almost sure you won't get infected.

Unfortunately there are also fake vaccines

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-56270243

Also the vaccine doesn't stop the virus, you can still be infected, the vaccine avoids you to be severly ill

''Vaccines work by training and preparing the body’s natural defences – the immune system – to recognize and fight off the viruses and bacteria they target. After vaccination, if the body is later exposed to those disease-causing germs, the body is immediately ready to destroy them, preventing illness.''
