so who knows what the prevalence is in the general population.

I think the question better asked is how many people have died from Covid in a year, 76, OMG shut the place down, oh they did.

Thailand seems to be defying the laws of nature. Samut is a hot bed and community transmission of the virus is running away. Outside of that area it seems non existent, totally against the way viruses work. Lack of testing shows low numbers outside of Samut. Jan 30th, only 3000 tests done according to MOPH. I think it's no surprise few come forward to hospitals/clinics for testing unless they are quite sick, for fear of been incarcerated, sorry, quarantined for 10-14 days, even if they just have mild symptoms which they can self medicate.

Samut Sakhon is a red zone. Maximum control and restricted area.

The virus can only move if people move and right now they can't. Simple really.

Correct without knowing how many people would have died if they left the place open.

Ever ask yourself about all those people falling over and dying in the streets in China, have we seen that happen anywhere else in the world ?

Secondly people can move in and out of Samut Sakhon province.

Are you certain about this?  I agree that it would be very difficult to prevent them doing so as the province does not have well-defined border with crossing points.

So Samut Sakhorn isn't closed down and there was reports of the super spreader at the DJ birthday party and the girls who jumped the borders.

Maybe they are not testing enough to find active cases but it's not like hospitals are full and people are in massive lockdowns like the UK. Still baffled why Thailand manages to evade the severity that other countries are experiencing.

This was the situation 3 days ago. I've not heard of any changes and I cannot think of any reason why there should be.

Wording is a bit different but essentially the same. I must say, however, that public buses are no longer coming in. Don't know the situation on Petkasaem road. Buses from BKK going to Nakom Pathom need to go through Om-noi wich is an ampur of Samut Sakhon. Maybe they dont pick up or drop off in that section. Don't know. Cars and songtaews are still moving in and out of the province.

For starters, because the hospitals in the main province were turning people away. Why? Because they didn’t shut down in time and their hospitals become overwhelmed. People died in the street and at home because they couldn’t be admitted to a hospital.

The rest of the world took note of this and didn’t want the same thing happening in their country, thus a global shut down,

Thanks to imbeciles who still can’t wrap their head around any of this, or think it’s all a hoax, we’re still in this with more variants popping up.

Hospital ICU's are at capacity in Mahachai. A person died in a hospital outside of Mahachai because there was no room in the muaeng hospitals.

Talking about Thailand in general not the epicenter.  One person died. See how many are dying everyday in other countries?
