Jahil Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Hello everybody. For sure you are the ones who can answer my question.... Is it possible to growth vegetables we are used to in Europe and to get them the same as in Europe? I think about salads, tomatoes, potatoes, cauliflower, sweet peppers,..... Maybe it is important ot say that I want to do that in the North (CR) What are the tricks? Thank you for learning me.
chownah Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Jahil, Take a look around the farming forum and you will find that we already have topics for growing tomatoes and potatoes. Do you know how to search this forum for a word? Look around and you will find a button called "search" with a text window next to it.....just type in the name of the vegetable you would like to know about and then hit the search button....you will get a list of threads that contain that vegetable. If you want to find out about a vegetable and the search doesn't find anything then start a topic asking about it. Some general advice is that the best time to plant vegetables is September through December. You can plant at other times but you might have more problems. Lettuce, cauliflower, brocolli, garlic, onions, chinese peas...all grow here in the cold season as do others. Chownah
