Thailand's chief of police personally led a raiding party of tech and other police to a room at a Bang - Na Trad condominium yesterday evening.

Tech police had been investigating an Instagram account under the name "dewaffen" and discovered there were weapons at the home of a Chinese man in building D Thana City Nouvelle 9 in Bang Plee.

Armed with a search warrant Pol Gen Suwat Chaengyodsuk and other officers found a veritable armory of nine assault rifles, two grenades, 5.56 ammunition 12,000 rounds, five grams of "ice" methamphetamine and drug taking equipment,a lathe and 40 gun accessories.

Wu Qiang, 37, who was looking after the room was taken away to the Bang Kaew police station.

(De) Waffen SS was the military arm of the Nazi Party, notes Thaivisa.

An internet search of the site on Instagram came up with another Chinese sounding name.

Police claim weapons and ammunition were being sold via the online account.

First and foremost lock him up just for being so daft as to sell these kind of weapons on an open social media, and than throw the book at him for the other charges...

Did he buy them in-country or smuggle them in? Not sure which one's worse.

War weapons: what, no bullet proof vests? Remember when that reporter was busted for having one & it was claimed to be a "war weapon"?

... and just where did a Chinese national living in Bangkok happen to come by these weapons of war?

What about going after the Thai's involved as well?

Probably bought them via FB and was flogging them on for a profit.
