The Palang Pracharat party has formally apologized to its coalition partner, the Bhumjaithai party and its secretary-general, Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob, for the abstention by 6 of its MPs from the vote in support of Saksayam at the end of the censure debate on February 20th.

The belated apology was offered by Mr. Anucha Nakasai, in his capacity as the secretary-general of the Palang Pracharat party, the main party in the coalition government. It also came one day after Bhumjaithai MPs walked out of a House meeting on Wednesday, in protest against the motion, tabled Palang Pracharat MPs, to bring forward two bills for deliberation ahead of the scheduled deliberation on constitutional amendments.

At a press conference, Anucha admitted that the party could not control some of its MPs and hoped that the Bhumjaithai MPs would understand the problem.
