Cruises from Andaman sea to serve Gulf of Thailand Tourism

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT (NNT) - Tourism operators from the both the Andaman sea side and the Gulf of Thailand side of the country, have joined hands and brought electric powered cruises from the Andaman Sea to serve the regenerating tourism of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

MEA to construct waste-to-energy plants in Bangkok

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Metropolitan Energy Authority (MEA) is looking into co-investment opportunities with private firm Newsky Energy Thailand for the construction of two new waste-to-energy power plants in Bangkok, promoting the expansion of alternative energy in the metropolitan area along with environmental protection.

More vaccines to reach tourism areas

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s Minister of Public Health says that more COVID-19 vaccine doses from the latest shipment will be sent to tourism areas, such as Phuket and Koh Samui, while confirming there will be no changes to the announced measures for Songkran holidays, as the situation is under control.

Constitutional amendments moving forward

BANGKOK (NNT) - Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, says there are no issues with constitutional amendments as long as they comply with the law. The President of the National Assembly, Chuan Leekpai, says he has contacted all sides ahead of the extraordinary session of parliament, scheduled for April 7 and 8, 2021.

Vaccine rollout could be adapted to developments

Thai police chief apologises for rough handling of some protesters on Saturday night

Remanded Ratsadon leader “Penguin” given 15-days detention for contempt of court

(Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear the federal government's bid to reinstate Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's death sentence for helping carry out the 2013 attack that killed three people and wounded more than 260 others.

DENVER (Reuters) - Police in Boulder, Colorado, reported an "active shooter" at a grocery store on Monday, and aerial footage broadcast live from the scene by local media showed a bloodied man being escorted away in handcuffs and loaded into an ambulance.
