NAKHON SI THAMMARAT (NNT) - Tourism operators from the both the Andaman sea side and the Gulf of Thailand side of the country, have joined hands and brought electric powered cruises from the Andaman Sea to serve the regenerating tourism of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, has presided over the launch of the new tourism route that uses eco-friendly electric cruises as a result of a cooperative agreement between Southsea Tours and the Sichon Dinner Cruise Company Limited.

The tour route was designed to help rehabilitate southern Thailand tourism as currently, tourism on the Gulf of Thailand side is gradually rebounding from the COVID-19 setback, and the authority and the companies decided the cruises would help strengthen the rebound.

Tourists spend a day on the cruise and enjoy sightseeing along the coast from Sichon district to Khanom district of Nakhon Si Thammarat province, a memorable journey that includes meals during the whole trip.

I'd be more than happy if someone could direct me the evidence that that 'rebound' is actually financially happening and not more nonsensical bravado

Only a matter of time before Thai TV comes up with a Thai version of Gilligan's Island.

Sounds great.  That's a beautiful part of Thailand.

How about also adding the link to be able to book such a trip.... I've been searching for the last 20 minutes still can't find it

i couldn't find it either, probably optimistic news planning for the future, if tourism ever returns to Thailand.

This was the closest I could find

The article is written as though you could take a cruise from the Andaman Sea to the Gulf of Thailand  at Nakhon Si Thammarat. Unless you sail town the Mallaca Straits and round 'Pore and then up north, you ain't going to do it.  This just underlines the importance of having a canal across the peninsula - so crack on and do it.  Then this article could have some meaning.
