Postal Service to Australia

Featured Replies

Hi all, has anyone posted anything registered airmail recently to Australia?

Is it running back to normal, slow etc?

Any info appreciated.

Cheers ????

I sent a registered letter to Sydney at the end of January and it took about 2 weeks to arrive. I asked about EMS but they said due to covid the service was unavailable due to daily flights being cancelled.

Yes, around 2-3 weeks for me, there is also a hotice about delays etc on the Auspost website. DHL was quick at around 6 days.

There is also another topic about it here...

Thanks guys, it's been a long time since I sent anything to Australia.

Does the tracking show when it gets to Australia/delivered? (either on Thaipost or Aus websites).

I remember years ago it never used to show for some reason (yet every other country does).

I sent a package to Perth in feb and another to Sydney then another one to a mate in Melbourne, the Sydney and Melbourne ones arrived a couple of weeks ago, so I told my mate in Perth to contact aussie post, they told her they  had it but said their sorting machine was having trouble reading the address and it would take up to a month for them to get it to her even though it was already in Perth, aussie post are absolutely hopeless and totally unreliable, they no longer update the tracking once it leaves Thailand and arrives in Australia as well which is a total rip off
