dairy queen Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 I have submitted all the documents for a one year extension (due to marriage). They gave me the stamp saying 'application of stay is under consideration'. Here's the thing. The date I need to go back to Changwattana is 5th April. I will be away in Phuket from 1-6 April. Will I have any issues going to Changwattana on 7th April i.e. 2 days late to (hopefully) get the one year extension stamp? As an aside I submitted the documents on 9th March so I don't get why the stamp asked my to go back on 5th April as this is 27 days...Not 30 days like normal. I'm also a bit worried about dealing with the airline when I fly back to Bangkok on 6th April as they will likely not understand the stamp and think I am on some sort of overstay... Has anyone dealt with the same issue?
ubonjoe Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 You can go in a couple of days late without a problem. The probably done it for the 5th since the 6th is a holiday. The airlines only look at your passport photo page for ID purposes. The certainly do not look to see if you are on a overstay.
