Howdy :D

Here's the one we have. I like the open grill better that I have seen in Thailand. However, this one is closed, it cuts down on the smoke and can be used in the house.

They have a number on the site. Not sure what the shipping to the UK would be.

Hi Chung Noi,

I have actually got the grill now. However I still trying to find the charcoal pot for under it. Any ideas welcomed as my Wife wants to cook it the same as she does in Thailand! Take the girl out of Thailand, but cannot take Thailand out the girl!!! However would not have it any other way.

I don’t know about the UK but the bucket type charcoal stoves were available from Asian grocery shops in Oz cities.

You could ask in your local Thai/Filipina grocery shop the next time you take your misses shopping. If they don’t have one, they will know where to get one from.

Thankyou for your reply Farma. I have asked at two restaurants and also in the Chinese community shops to no avail. I will try and broaden my horizons to my family in London and see what they can get for me! Absolute nightmare, my wife has the bbq grill and all the food and sauces ready to go and well what can one do! The lady wants the charcoal pot......

Just an up date on my bizarre bbq pot hunt, as I know you are all highly concerned! :o I never found one and have put the Korean grill on a european bbq.

Anyone who does know of the evading clay pots....give me a shout. Also I am planning on getting one made by the local college or University!

A trip down to the nearest good sized 'chinatown' should provide what you need. May be better to leave TW @ home - could get expensive... ;-)
