These quarantine days are a bit misleading. I believe 10 days is really 12 nights and 13 days and 7 days is really 9 nights and 10 days. They are not counting the first and last day. I think I will wait for Phuket July 1.

Can you leave Phuket though before the no quarantine October 1st kicks in?

If you’ve got a vaccine certificate there is absolutely no need to quarantine Thailand can kiss goodbye to tourists for 2021 if they continue with this ridiculous policy . What’s the point of having a vaccine in the first place if countries continue to insist on quarantine

Absolute rubbish! Vaccines are simply not 100%. Masks, handwashing & physical distance will continue & our life will become one of endless boosters for new strains.

I'd like to see Novavax (USA), Sputnik V (Russia) & Soberana 2 (Cuba), Abdala (Cuba) added to approved vaccines.

Any of you planning vaccine tourism?

Irrespective of how many Vaccines are included by the Thai Authorities into their "Approved " list, and even if the Quarantine period was only for One day, Tourists with an Ounce of Brain will not visit Thailand.

Why ? Because the population have not been Vaccinated, and this leaves open the very real risk that Covid could possibly be carried back to their Homelands by the Tourists.

Thats even if they are allowed to Vacation in Thailand by their Governments who may see Thailand as a high risk Country, and bar any travel to the Kingdom.

With very little sign, and cohesion on Vaccinating the Citizens of Thailand, the Country will have to wait a long time to see any real number of Tourists visiting their Wats Etc.

Don't hold your breath, it’s possible that people who are fully vaccinated could still spread the virus.

That article is almost one month old.

As of the latest US CDC data. out of 77 million vaccinated people 5800 people have been infected.  which represent a statistically insignificant  .008%

The article you linked explain how vaccine is effective again COVID-19. Consider that COVID-19 is NOT coronavirus, COVID-19 is a disease caused by coronavirus. It’s possible that people who are fully vaccinated could still spread the virus even if they don't contract COVID, that's why quarantine is also needed for vaccinated people.

I just realized @richard_smith237 explained it much better than me with a great post ????

Thank you but I will wait a little bit, until we don't have to do quarantine when vaccinated.

7 days quarantine before getting released into the latest lockdown in non-vaccinated Thailand.

Hard pass.

There is a big difference between possible and probable.  Many things in life are possible , they are called acceptable risks. We take one every time we cross the street.

All it takes is one breakthrough case to spark it off.

What's missing in all this is why a person who has had COVID19 and recovered should have to be vaccinated.

Because the antibodies wear off over time. Even vaccine effectiveness will wear off in 6 months to a year and we will need to get boosters. It will be a lot easier to get boosters if it lumped with the flu shot.
