Here are the provinces requiring travellers from Bangkok and other ‘high risk’ areas to quarantine

Following a spike in COVID-19 cases in Bangkok and neighbouring provinces, numerous provinces around Thailand have now issued restrictions on anyone travelling from areas deemed to be ‘high risk’.

Chonburi orders all entertainment venues to close

The Communicable Disease Committee of Thailand’s Chonburi province has ordered all entertainment venues to close from tomorrow (Saturday), including cinemas and theatres, to control the spread of COVID-19.

Health Min confirms private COVID-19 vaccines imports are allowed

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health has reiterated it is not blocking private organizations from importing COVID-19 vaccines, pointing out it has already registered three for the process and is considering a fourth.

Another 87 new COVID-19 cases, most linked to a pub in the resort town of Hua Hin, were recorded Friday in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

Free COVID tests for Phuket partygoers

PHUKET: Any persons who attended any of the three mass parties held in Phuket last weekend that have now contributed to the rise in the number of COVID infections on the island will be provided a free COVID test.

PHUKET: Even before the 10-day snap shutdown of all pubs and bars on the island ordered on Thursday came into effect, entertainment venue operators in Patong had suffered heavily, bearing the brunt of not just a full year without international tourists, but also under bungling bureaucracy that saw entertainment venue workers initially delayed in being vaccinated against COVID-19.
