I know it’s the Thai way to blame others or circumstances beyond their control ... but not this time. Several countries are in the similar situation. Did great initially with regards to controlling the virus, but way behind on vaccinations. Like Australia and New Zealand. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/world/covid-vaccinations-tracker.html
PeeJayEm
So no price and no delivery discussed or agreed. So in fact there is no news at all. just hot air. Why is it even worth a photograph at all? J ust to prove that nothing worthwhile was achieved - and that it took half a dozen HiSo heavily salaried and gold-plate-pensioned Thais to achieve that? Quite pathetic for a nation which plans to go to the moon, isn't it? Despite BioNTech and it's partner Pfizer reduced the cooling requirements in the meantime, even -70°C is not overly difficult. I wrote on Thaivisa 6 months ago already that cheap dry ice for food storage has a temperature of -79°C, and liquid Nitrogen, a common cooling medium which is cheaper than beer, has -192°C. Now as Anutins pants are on fire, cold storage of the Pfizer vaccine suddenly is no issue anymore. ???? I believe that the sub zero temperature is for long term storage and transport but the Pfizer vaccine can be kept for a week at normal refrigeration temperatures once thawed hence supplies of the vaccine could be transported with Liquid Nitrogen flasks to regional hospitals. It must be Thawed out before use and will be kept in the fridge for a week. An efficient vaccination program getting many people to attend the hospital during the week with minimal admin and paperwork to delay would see those doses used completely. However I am aware of the convoluted administration and reliance on lots of complex paperwork which is typical in Thailand which will cause massive waste 1

Damrongsak
Pfizer press release: Friday, February 19, 2021 - 07:00am EST Proposed U.S. EUA label update would enable the vaccine to be stored at -25°C to -15°C (-13°F to 5°F) for a total of two weeks If approved, new storage option could offer pharmacies and vaccination centers greater flexibility in managing and maintaining vaccine distribution and supply NEW YORK and MAINZ, GERMANY, February 19, 2021 — Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) and BioNTech SE (Nasdaq: BNTX) today announced the submission of new data to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) demonstrating the stability of their COVID-19 vaccine when stored at -25°C to -15°C (-13°F to 5°F), temperatures more commonly found in pharmaceutical freezers and refrigerators. The data have been submitted to the FDA to support a proposed update to the U.S. Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) Prescribing Information, which would allow for vaccine vials to be stored at these temperatures for a total of two weeks as an alternative or complement to storage in an ultra-low temperature freezer. Many countries don't want the vaccine. https://www.devex.com/news/the-countries-that-don-t-want-the-covid-19-vaccine-99243 Last month, Tanzanian Health Minister Dorothy Gwajima held a press conference demonstrating how to make a smoothie with ginger, onions, lemon, and pepper, which she said could help to prevent COVID-19 infections. She did not provide any evidence for her claim but went on to state that the country had no plans to receive vaccines for the pandemic and should instead rely on hygiene measures, herbal steaming, exercise, and “natural remedies.”
