YALA (NNT) - Each province has accelerated vaccination for medical personnel and frontline workers at risk. Overall, the Thai government has hit its target of offering a first jab to everyone in the top priority groups. Only minor side effects have been reported among recipients.

Yala Hospital has provided vaccination to all vulnerable personnel in Muang Yala district except for some who do not wish to receive the vaccine. Seventy percent of public health personnel of the hospital has already received nearly 3,000 doses of vaccine. Dr In Chandaeng, Director of Yala Hospital, said, after vaccination, most of them did not experience any side effects.

Only minor symptoms like those from the flu vaccine have been reported. Yala Hospital has always followed up on the vaccine recipients after the vaccination through the "Mor Promp application". He also asked the vaccine recipients not to be worried.

The third batch of vaccine that will arrive at the end of this month is supposed to be for a risk group with seven diseases. Then, the vaccine will be offered to the general public.

Chonburi Hospital has begun providing the second dose of vaccine to medical personnel and frontline workers. No side effects have been found. There were only some people who had a body ache. As for the first dose of vaccine offered on Monday and Wednesday, one person was numb but got better in about half an hour.

 Bit odd...

If it 'got better' then it most likely wasn't anything to do with the vaccine, so why mention it?

Patient was probably leaning on their elbow.

However, this is slightly encouraging news I suppose. Far better if 300,000 had been done though. ????

Jesus Christ, why the hell were these folks not vaccinated before the government minions.  Who the heck is on the front lines.  Sure as hell isn't the government. Prayuts leading from the rear with Anutin. They need a leader to lead from the front like General Sherman in WW2. Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way government.  Give the medical personnel the reigns to run the show.

Agree with you. Just wish to point out perhaps you meant General Patton for WW2. He used Sherman tanks, among others. "Uncle Billy" Sherman was in the US Civil War. "Pandemics are hell" not what he said ???? Not sure if we'd want equivalent of his "march to the sea" from Atlanta where total destruction of rebel resources was the objective
