Two Iranians nabbed on drug charges

BANGKOK: -- Two Iranian men were arrested in Bangkok over the weekend for possession with intent to sell Bt1.2 million worth of the drug crack.

Police said Dadgostar Patris Jamshid, 38, and Davood Mohammadi, 26, admitted selling the drug in areas frequented by Arab tourists for between Bt2,500 and Bt3,000 a gram.

"We will investigate further to make sure this drug does not gain popularity in Thailand," Metropolitan Police superintendent Colonel Sombat Milinjinda said.

He said the men told police the drug was popular among Arabs and started entering Thailand about a year ago.

Metropolitan Police commander MajGeneral Apichart Chuates said local customers made up just 10 per cent of the men's sales.

So in addition to nuclear reactors, Iran can apparently produce some potent drugs. Sure hope the gov't doesn't break the patent on it!

Well all you have to do to produce crack cocaine is mix some normal coke with some baking soda and cook it, not rocket science - even for these two foolish chaps :D

And judging from some well dodgy areas I've seen deep in those BKK - Pratunam / Silom areas I woulod say some of those guys are definitely smoking something !!!!

:o

Mark "Rent-boy" Renton: People think it's all about misery and desperation and death and all that shit which is not to be ignored, but what they forget is the pleasure of it. Otherwise we wouldn't do it. After all, we're not ######ing stupid. At least, we're not that ######ing stupid.

According to Iranian law, anyone carrying more than 30 grams of heroin would face the death penalty.

i hope Thailand gives then the same...

30 grams?

In Singapore its 2 grams - you have to prove you are not dealing or its the rope - the onus is on the defendant to prove he is not dealing not on the prosecuters as its assumend 2 grams and you are dealing.

Drugs to support terrorism?

Crucify them. :o

Oh, I don't know.....If there's a group of people more in need of a line, its the Arabs and the Muslims

Nope, surely they would be better off smoking a fat one. Leave the line for the long distance bus drivers.

Anyone remember this from Cheech and Chongs Up In Smoke:

Hey, man, I got some weed

straight from Turkey.

It's what

set them Arabs off.

Arabs from Turkey?

Yeah, man.

They was from Turkey.

This stuff will put a hump

in a camel's back.

ONCB says heroine possessed by arrested Iranian is not a new type of drug

The Secretary-General of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, Mr. Kitti Limchaikit, affirms that the heroine carried by an Iranian on May 19th is not a new type of drug as it was brought to Thailand about 30 years ago.

Mr. Kitti says the drug is known as Heroine No. 3, and it is not a new type of narcotics. He believes it will not become common for the Thai drug abusers in the Thai society even though it is popular in the Middle East and South Asia. Another reason is that Thailand is situated near the Heroine No. 4 production base, and this type of drug is more concentrated and lasts longer.

Mr. Kitti also says most parts of Thailand are not the main route for the heroine dealers to deliver their drugs.

Saw them on tv, handcuffed and sitting at a table where all the evidence was displayed.

Even handcuffed, one grab a smoke and his lighter from the evidence and tried to light it up. :D Maybe a last hit before going to jail. :o The boys put a quick stop to that.
