Vaccine for Thais not expats???

This is pretty worrisome. Most places would simply say nationals get priority, not "not expats".

This type of speak can lead to dangerous situations in crowds where people are all hyped up and fearful. Take heed.

Thai officials would not say "expats", they would say khon-dang-chat which means foreigners.

They also assured foreigners they were working on taking care of them as soon as more vaccines are available.   MOPH spokesman Rungrueng Kitphati told foreigners to "Please don't worry."

Of course there will be no vaccine for expats. Because...

What did you guys do here in the previous year when most countries in this world made bookings of Sinovac and Sputnik V vaccine packages? You were mumbling here that these vaccines were not good, you reposted all those credible links from Reuters and The guardian.

Thais use American social networks like Facebook and LINE every day. So the society is too much dependent of yours, the westerners`, opinions. As a result, the country did not make any bookings of "bad" vaccines and continue waiting for the "good western vaccines" for months.

It is easy for them to say "don't worry" while refusing (already) for over six months to allow private hospitals from providing us vaccination services, obstruction that seems likely to continue. It is not they that will die if I become infected and suffer fatal complications. There is no morally justifiable reason to prevent private hospitals from providing services the government is unable or unwilling to provide. It is beyond infuriating.

Since the UK, that leading light of Covid vaccination, only started doing it on 8 December, I am not sure where your claim that private hospitals in Thailand have been denied from providing vaccination "for over six months" comes from, this being early May and all.

Todays announcement clearly indicated in firm text, that expats are involved, and that the wording of an official was taken out of context. Expats will be included as from fas 2, june, and there on.... all good...
