Package with private hospitals

Featured Replies

Maybe stupid question is it possible to get a health package from private hospitals ? What I meant not trough an insurance company but direct package.

Not surey .but you can be come a member of the hospital and get good discounts on treatments medicine etc

Just about every private hospital offers health check packages that vary in price based on age, gender and the degree that you want to be tested. Just google the hospital and see what they offer, eg Bangkok Hospital Health Check. Figure on THB 10k to THB 50K, based on the package and the hospital.

Thank you both for the information. I was basically looking for a package regarding full treatment in hospital so side lining insurance companies lol. But maybe not possible .

That's what I gave you, exactly that. Decide which hospital you want to use, select the package, show up, pay your money and get checked. End of story.

Several private hospitals offer fixed price packages for a handful of operations and procedures, CAGB, PCI, maternity, health exam and probably one or two other things.

If you have a health exam and they find something that needs attention, it will be down to you to decide how to proceed. If the work you need done exists in a package, great, otherwise it's down to time and materials.

I had a health exam twelve years ago at Bumrungrad in Bangkok and they said I needed a coronary stent. Fortunately the procedure was covered by an existing package which was cheaper than normal. Had the problem been something else it would have been down to me to decide if, how, when and where I want the problem dealt with.

Thanks for your help . It would prob. better getting health insurance if for instance you get diagnosed with cancer it would be imperative to get medical intervention right away . Thanks again.

If you're trying to decide whether to buy health insurance or self insure by paying for things yourself, the answer is, buy insurance. Thai hospitals used to be pretty cheap and years ago it was sensible to self insure, I did, today it's very high risk because costs have increased massively. And you can always decide on a case by case basis whether to use the insurance or to pay directly yourself. Which ever way you go, treatment is usually available very quickly if not immediately and most tests can be self ordered on a walk in basis.
