webfact
Picture: Daily News Police in Krabi in the south of Thailand say that at least five suspects are wanted in connection with the gruesome murder of a Lamthap district restaurant owner. Relatives of Suchart Khaoluan, 54, searched for him for a week after he went missing along with his Toyota. He had gone to meet some people to reclaim a debt. Eventually his car was found buried and burned in a hole in a palm plantation in Nong Baek village. About 700 meters away Suchart was found in a one meter deep grave. He had been doused in acid. Warrants were issued for two brothers called Suriya or "Bangfit", 32, and Surachai or "Kiplee", 38, and a relative called Suwit, 26, reported Daily News. Suwit surrendered to police and gave evidence about the incident. He told police that he had travelled with the two other men and a man called "Bangnee" in an Isuzu owned by Bangnee. He was sitting in the back next to Suchart who was subsequently taken out and shot three times by Bangfit then buried. His car was buried by making a large hole with a backhoe that was doing earthworks in the area. It was then set on fire. Suwit attempted to distance himself from the crime saying he feared his relatives and didn't see exactly what happened. Pol Col Phisanu Atchanapornkun of the Krabi provincial police said that five or more were involved in the murder that was well planned. Relatives of the victim have been having funeral rites for Suchart yesterday and today at the Khaoluan Restaurant but the cremation date has not been set amid concerns that further forensic work may need to be done. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-05-17 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
