webfact
Picture: Siam Rath Siam Rath reported that advisor to the Pattaya Business and Tourism Association Ekkasit Ngamphichet welcomed the change in Chonburi being classified as a red zone from the highest level, deep red. This, the media said, would mean restaurants in Pattaya could offer in person dining until 11 pm though alcohol would still not be allowed. But Ekkasit was more concerned about the vaccine rollout after a request from Pattaya for an extra 30,000 doses was reduced to 20,000. He said that achieving herd immunity among 70% of the business and residential population was key for the future of Pattaya and should be done as soon as possible. He lamented that there was still no clear indication of when further vaccine supplies will arrive. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-05-17 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1

It is for the whole country not just Pattaya, Bangkok Phuket or any other resort. The whole country needs to get back to normal.
Popular Post Golden Triangle
It's getting farcical now, first they said 40,000 doses, then 30,000 doses, now we are down to 20 000 and also all of a sudden they have no one to administer the jabs, I read this yesterday somewhere, there are more hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and capable people per capita of population than you can shake a stick at. If City Hall advertised the dates, times & locations of the vaccination places & asked off duty personnel to register to do a few hours of paid work they would be inundated with volunteers. ????

This was known months ago. For a country that relies on tourism for at least 17% of its GDP, you would think Thailand would have opened up the cheque book and have purchased vaccines at a similar rate to many western countries.
