Administrative officials and police last night raided Sewana restaurant for violating the alcohol sales and consumption ban at restaurants.

Authorities found that alcoholic beverages were prepared in the back office of the restaurant and glasses of the beverages were served to customers one after another.

Why should he, it's probably his local!

What a stupidity ....... alcohol consumption has provenly nothing to do with Thailand's incompetence in dealing with anything - except the excellent driving skills of Somchai and Yodsak which go into overdrive after sufficient intake of Lao Kao ........

Upcountry alcohol is available in almost all Thai-run places; the foreigners were told to keep dry or face tremendous "fines" which obviously would come without official receipt - go figure!

Yeah but got the wrong attention... was it worth the risk?

Funny no comments about these alcohol and other Covid restrictions not applying to Thais, that you usually find on these reports.

Go to 7/11 buy some beer & a bottle of wine, go home & fire up the BBQ

The authorities are not against you having a drink just not gathering in a public place, forgetting your manners after 10 beers.

"We are all governed by the lowest common denominator" unfortunate, but unavoidable.

Can you imagine if the farangs could have a drink in a bar  but not Somchai ?

And righfully so

Bloody morons.

Record cases and deaths this week in Thailand from the English B117 strain.

Probably not the best time.

Yes, it appears to be breaking more than the alcohol serving ban...there are spacing requirements for restaurants.
