There is one surprising trait common to almost all those in the West who are so impassioned in their defense of the Hamas dictatorship launching thousands of missiles at Arab, Jewish, and Christian civilians that they are willing to denounce anyone who dares to disagree with them as brainwashed.

That surprising trait is their laziness.

Despite frantically signaling their virtue at every opportunity, they are almost never aware of the facts of any complex issue. With no awareness of or interest in the actual details, they simply launch into the same basic justification that they apply to any warcrime against Israeli civilians.

There is no point arguing with them. They have no interest in facts. They clearly prefer to receive their marching orders from Twitter rather than read books and actually think about complex issues. They are simply pawns, manipulated into a furious certainty by people far more intelligent than they.

Some grow out of this with time and life experience. Some might eventually become people worth engaging with and learning from. Most, however, will stay stuck in place for the rest of their pitiful lives, their dramatic rage becoming evermore ridiculous as they age, like torn Socialist Worker posters fading in the sun.

So many words and font changes just to be so incredibly wrong

We’re not defending Hamas for sending rockets, but criticizing the actions by the Israeli government that leads to the tit for tat violence to begin with, which is ALWAYS conveniently left out by those who must defend the government at all

costs

Meanwhile despite all of your words about us approving Hamas’ rockets (which we patently were critical of)  I’m sure you believe Israel is justified by sending rockets that hit civilian people and buildings

This is what I am saying.

To argue with those who mischaracterize others and have such a sloppy disregard for detail is a waste of time and intellectual energy.

I wrote 200 words and did not change the font even once.

Fonts do not matter but the truth does. Rushed attacks reveal bad faith.

So you're saying that Israel isn't Israeli's country? That's an outrageous assertion.

Maybe Australia isn't Australian's country then.

But nobody says that.

Curious that the one country in the world that is the Jewish homeland is singled out for such baldy hypocritical denigration.

I think you should read the book (or Youtube video) by Israeli Prof History Shlomo Sand  "The invention of the land of Israel" and what he has been teaching for many years to a Jewish audience at Tel Aviv University.

Those are not font changes. Those are style changes.

With respect, I wish you good luck in life but cannot see any point in interacting further with someone still struggling to master basic concepts.

100 Jews. 100 opinions. I'm aware of him. Just mentioning a Jew that promotes a narrative that you like proves basically nothing. Israel exists whether people like it or not. They're never going to volunteer to not exist.

A favourite question that Jewish people and Israeli supporters ask Palestinian sympathisers is; 'Have you ever been?' I would love to show my support by visiting Gaza City. Unfortunately, Israel believe they have the right to refuse my entry. That is the fundamental problem.

lol

When you’re arguing semantics of font changes vs stylistic ones, you know you’ve got no actual response

Best of luck to you as well. If you can’t handle something like that I shudder to think of how you handle things in person

Have they actually blocked your entry?

I have been to both Gaza and the West Bank a few times. It didn't seem to be so strict, although they do ask why you are going. I did not see anyone getting turned back, and have not heard of that before.

Quick reality check: YOU brought up font changes because, apparently, YOU believe that me underlining two phrases and italicizing two words was in some way relevant.

I have never faulted anyone in any forum for poor punctuation because I know that adequate education is not universal. What matters is the quality of someone's ideas. You would, however, add more credibility to your arguments if you did some research into the use of full stops or, if you are American, periods.

Now, with respect, please move along and find someone to argue with who is more at your own level.

Last time I checked Rafah crossing was closed indefinitely. But thanks for reminding me. I spoke to a young Israeli upon my travels (a couple of years ago) and asked whether a tourist would be permitted access to Gaza City from Israel. The answer was not positive. But I do see tours of Palestine advertised so it must be possible.

Big of you to admit you’re not at my level. That’s an important first step

Regardless, I don’t look down on you. You’re free to try to refute the points I made

I do not disagree with you : according to Prof Yuval Noah Harari all republics or kingdoms or empires are a "fiction" and can exist as long as enough people believe in it. Indeed Israel has since 1948 established itself with enough people believing in it so that it will not go away in the near future (the same applies to the other nations of this troubled region of which borders were drawn after World War I )

American farm workers? I was talking about migrant farm workers. No bomb shelters but long walks in the desert aren't exactly a garden party.

Then maybe they should stay home, or come through the gate and not come in through the desert.
