The Crime Suppression Division announced the arrest of an online fraudster in Bang Plee, Samut Prakan at the weekend.

Theeraphon Kingkorn, 29, had been pretending to be a doctor in order to get people to believe him.

Then he would sell them masks, cameras, shoes, mobile phones, skateboards - but not deliver.

He just pocketed the cash and was named in a May 20th warrant, reported Daily News.

The cops discovered he was also wanted in a 2020 warrant for failing to deliver iPad Air and Apple Watch products.

In an attempt at mitigation the suspect told the cops he had been selling online for 10 years - but had only pretended to be a doctor since 2018.

He was charged with fraud and detained.

On my first Thailand tripe I had a guy with a ragged pilots jacket on and claimed to be with

Thai Air, but wanted me to go with him to see a temple that is only open to public 3 days a year.

I had just come out of the Grande Palace, and was about to head for the Golden Teak Museam,

Vimarn Mek. It turns out, he was my first tout, that I met. Lucky for me a tourist police fellow was

close by and | went to him to ask what was the best transport to take to the museum, and if he

believed that they tout was a pilot. The tout left in a hurry.  I did learn pretty quick not to trust

the very helpful Thais at the tourist hot spots.  Fake doctors are dangerous too.

Geezer
