Gain of function experiments are ones that create deadlier version of viruses in a lab setting that have more in common with bio-weapon research. 

And then today?  Viola.  More and more data is surfacing indicating that this whole affair may be the result of gain of function research that leaked from the Wuhan lab.  US intelligence agencies are now investigating (MSNBC et.al). And it's establish fact that the Fauci's NIH supplied the lab with $600,000 in funding (NyPost et.al). 

So correct.  All of these pathogens will be kept in labs for "research" until some lab worker screws up, gets contaminated, and passes the pathogens into the wild.  As long as there is research, bio-weapon or by another kinder,  gentler name such as "gain-of-function", the world in just one lab accident away from another pandemic.  The difference is that Dr. Yong should have added, the virus will never be allowed to be eradicated.  Makers of Covid tests, vaccines, and PPE are the huge winners now riding a cash cow of epic proportion.  And men like Bill Gates promise the world that another worse pandemic is coming (how would he know?).  But I have no doubt.  There is huge money in pandemics nowadays.

There are also real credentialed virologists in leadership positions in major universities and academic institutions who don't hold the same view as Dr Yong.  Those virologist are call everything but doctors of virology and are excoriated and censored by the MSM and by Big Tech.  The Scientific Method is being replaced by Scientific Orthodoxy with is incredibly dangerous for the future of Science. The alternative hypothesis in now heretical, and heretics are metaphorically burnt at the stake. That bodes not well.
So being a 'real' virologist doesn't mean much.  You need to be a 'real' virologist with the official opinion and restate the party line. You can be a virtual nobody (who has heard of Dr. Yong before his high-profile weekly photo-ops) but restate the official narrative and you're placed on a pedestal and worshiped as an "expert".  And "experts" towing the line are all now revered as gods of Scientific Orthodoxy.  No doubt the spigots of future grant money will be opened wide for these fortuitous "experts." ????

I would like to see the evidence confirming that there is a covid virus.

I heard it can take between 4 to 12 weeks so I wouldn't worry too much about this.

Too soon to find antibodies. Sore arm at injection site is a good thing.  21 days get the next shot    Wait 14 days then. You should be properly immune. None of my colleagues how got Pfizer got any covid. Dont know your location either way use masks, thats the best immunity along with the jabs.

Mutations will be more of a concern outside of a controlled environment.  If all prisoners were to be infected, they will only have to worry about a new variants being introduced from the outside.  

Coronaviruses have been around for centuries.  There is no such thing as herd immunity against mother nature. 

Do you believe a virus mutates because it mixes with a separate variant? There was only one virus initially. The virus mutates inside the person. It hasn't a clue whether it's in prison or not.

Well spoken and needs underlining a thousand times particularly the last sentence about the windfall motive for suppressing any discussions about the well tried and tested and very safe effective Ivermectin. 

 

If in any doubt about Ivermectin go and look up the well balanced calm and knowledgeable Dr. John Campbell on You Tube he is not another crazy US conspriracy nut case but one I personally feel I can trust to give me real; facts in an open honest way.  He releases regular videos so look up his several more recent talks on YT relating to Ivermectin and the overwhelming evidence to show that it does seem to work and should be seriously properly and officially tested, discussed and used for treatment for CV19 infections and even as a prophylactic especially in nations where we are still unacceptbly waiting for vaccines to be rolled out.  

 

I certainly have got myself a box of 12 x 6mg Ivermectin tablets as an emergency should I be unlucky enough to get infected with Covid.  If I feel there is really a significant danger of catching CV19 here in Rayong then I wll take Ivermectin as a Prophylactic (not sure of spelling but as a preventative measure of course) as I'm still waiting as a highly vulnerable candidate for a safe vaccine to be easily and widely available here in Thailand as should be the case long before now (Sinovac is IMHO the safest non experimeant vaccine and I will wait for that variant for sure).

Every person in authority has a story to tell .. My story can be a good one too with no medical degrees.

 

let us forget the past and focus on the future. It is a well know  fact that herd immunity does not eradicate the virus.

 

Vaccination will only build the antibodies to prevent infection. However with the mutation of this virus,  only pfizer and moderna has a better chance to prevent infection because these vaccines were develop using a new concept to build antibodies(MRNA). Other uses the "dead bug approach"  .Infection may be possible.    Still better than none.

 

You can still reach herd immunity without infection.... however the number of  death can he higher because human bodies are different reacting to the virus.

This isn't entirely true. The new variants are a moving target and both companies are constantly looking into new formulations or boosters.

 

On a positive note, there is strong research interest in "pan-coronavirus vaccines."

1st => you never use mass vaccination during a pandemic, but before... same as the flu. Vaccination comes before the flu season

2nd => Because you are mass vaccinating at the wrong time, virus is able to mutate faster than it should be...

This is why new variants are coming up in those mass vaccinating country, most of the time.
