People taking off their masks when you are not looking. Like at home or work or when eating etc. They are only one line of defense but most of the masks being worn offer limited protection. Only properly fitted and leak tested N95 masks offer a high level of protection. 

Posts advocating the use of a drug to treat COVID patients that hasn't been approved for that use by any of the world's major health agencies have been removed, along with an ongoing series of totally off-topic comments.

 

Also removed was a post that mischaracterized news reports on past U.S. funding and involvement with a research lab in Wuhan, China, along with several replies.

Statistically, I believe it’s right to say that most infections happen at home between close relatives. Not much mask wearing there.

 

but masks aren’t 100% protection anyway, they just help.

 

in Thailand you may have read about big clusters of cases in prisons, constructions sites and factories. I have no proof, but I would suspect that mask wearing was a pretty patchy practice at a lot of them.

 

so masks are not THE answer. They are part of an answer, assuming that the question is “how to stop virus infections”.

It will be very disappointing if the government persists in calling people who have had one jab “vaccinated” and quietly gloss over how many haven’t had a second jab. That would be real banana republic stuff.

Lots of cases came from bars and similar venues. Presumably, the patrons weren't getting their alcohol administered intravenously.

We had the same problems here.  

It ended up we had meat shortages and price spikes in our selected pieces of dead animal.  Special teams were sent in to disinfect the factories and tested the employees to death, even after the outbreak.  They were among the first to get a vaccine.
