At least 774 US deportees have been repatriated to Cambodia, said Foreign affairs ministry spokesman Koy Kuong. He said that last year 25 returnees were deported to Cambodia. He said that the government has taken care of them.

 

On June 1, Prime Minister Hun Sen and US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman met at Peace Place during her one-day visit to the Kingdom and talked about the ongoing repatriation of Cambodians who commit crimes in the US.

 

Between 1975 and 2000, the US accepted 145,000 Cambodian refugees as part of an influx of Cambodians displaced by war.

And there was me always reading the news that the US considers democracy a priority
