Where to take an abandoned kitten.

I found an abandoned kitten on the side of the road. Some people tossed it out in a bag. I am not in any position to take care of a cat so I want to know if there's a shelter or somewhere that I can take it.

Also, have you any neighbours who might want to adopt a kitten, possibly a family with toddlers. 

 

Some t##t abandoned a litter of kittens near me but a lady found homes for them all by asking door to door.

The neighbours were the ones who were about to kill it when my friend intervened. So not so sure about that.
