BANGKOK (NNT) - Today is World Environment Day. The Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment today delivered a speech urging the general public to be more conscious of the ecosystems and better adapt themselves to the nature.

The Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment Varawut Silpa-archa said Ecosystem Restoration is the theme of this year’s World Environment Day, encouraging the world to restore the abundance of the ecosystems and maintain biodiversity.

Mr Varawut said the government of Thailand appreciates that the environmental situation is escalating into a crisis, thus the government has been campaigning among members of the public about the importance of the slowly-changing ecosystems.

The Environment Minister said the COVID-19 crisis had allowed natural ecosystems across the country to recover, while Thai people have been participating in promoting the balance between humans and natural resources, through the repurposing of used resources, the promotion of the Bio-Circular-Green economic model, and the implementation of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as the main national development principle.

The Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment said humans will need to adjust themselves to nature in order to survive in the next century, while leaving a beautiful world for the newer generations.

Spreading this message once a year isn't enough. People have short memories and bad habits are difficult to shake off.

Thais  overall  especially  out in the countryside  could not care less,  plastic  everywhere,  waste  chemical bags/plastic  bottles everywhere, rubbish from construction dumped  all  over the place, rubbish thrown off the back of motorbikes (drinks  containers) when they ride  along, see it everyday.

Not  bad, often its just plain lazy.

" Rumak... why are you so cynical ???"

"one word, mi amigos........HYPOCROCY "

Yeah nature needs to be more protected and there still needs to be more to take care of it, but what is he going to do about the his cronies in control continually creating an all around bad environment constantly hurting the human ecosystem of life. And yes there is such a thing.
