Please give me a call. Get the 3 hotties in and let's go for it. I don't mind if you sit on the sofa and watch us all night.

I realize this probably sounds dumb, but it's small things that weren't issues before. I'm noticing quality differences in food and drink a lot more than before. It's getting harder to roll out of bed in the morning and go from 0-100, especially after a late night. Muscles feel slightly tight or slightly more sore slightly more often. Etcetera. It's not affecting performance in a big way yet, but then you look at the runway ahead and realize that it could just be downhill from here, it does make you feel kind of old, yeah. The weight of time is there in a way that it wasn't before.

Popular Post Robin
There comes a time when you realise that you cannot do the tings you used to. What and when depends on you Eventually it catches up with all of us, depending on how you live. At 70 I found that trying to do what I used to do at 60, took its toll and I needed a day to recover. Now some years on , I would be happy to do what I did at 70. The trouble is ,we do not appreciate at the time that we cannot go on for ever.

My eyesight isn't what it used to be, but I've worn glasses since I was about 14 and abused my eyes for many years wearing one day contacts for weeks without taking them out to clean. My optometrist said I was lucky I didn't go blind. Can't wear lenses now but have varifocal glasses. They were ok for a few years but now I have to take them off to look at my phone, and I look at my phone about once every 3 mins! I have always had to get up to pee in the night, so that's no biggie. I can still eat anything I want, which for me means spicy food almost all the time. I don't use sugar or salt, I don't drink any sugary drinks, I quit alcohol 17 months ago ????, limit bread and pasta, don't eat fast food, stopped drinking milk. So far no aches of pains anywhere.

AlexRich
I hated clubbing at 18-21, so perhaps I’m old before my time. If a person keeps fit and active, and eats healthily they will grow older but not necessarily feel it. But DNA is a factor, some people inherit debilitating conditions, whether they do these things or not. So a bit of luck is also needed.

holy cow cm
For me was just when my baby girl graduated, turned 18 and now about to go to University. A segment of my family life hit the reality fan. Nearing 60 in a couple of years, but I still ride the skateboard in the driveway with the kids. Glad they are still my little big buddies. 1

Until that time it was all beer/party/hookers combined with trail running and mountain biking. Age 52-62 were the wildest and most adventurous party years of my life. Like Charlie says, at some age you will hit chronic illness and the party is over. 64. It's genetics. You're body simply wears out no matter how you exercise it or feed it good food or give it supplements or care for it. At some point the machinery wears and fails to function like it did before. Then comes the mental perspective: Is the decline of your body dragging your mind down with it. It doesn't have to although at some point your mind and memory go too. So you develop compassion and acceptance. If you have read both Britmantoo and my take on the future, neither of us plan to hold off the inevitable. I know people who want to live to be 120 in an aging body. Why? Fear of death? Enjoy your present life too much to let go of a hunk of flesh that is falling apart slowly but surely. It's been a good run. I'll take whatever comes next with as much grace and acceptance as possible. Birth, youth, ageing, sickness, and finally death. Look around. It's the way of it. Nothing escapes. So live fully in the time you have left. Enjoy the dance.

RichardColeman
'I' don't feel old - I just see my body aging. My body is still in good knick, full head hair, I look quite young - just have rubbish teeth now - so getting old is just swings and roundabouts. Besides - I am always told I am a sexy man walking down the sois - I love it, wife walking behind hates it.

Popular Post Ventenio
looking young does NOT mean you feel young. No way. If you look young, you probably looked young all your life.... it's relative. I can exercise for maybe even 10 hours.......I'm near 55. i feel old. let me think......you FEEL old (or should feel old), when.... 1. you can't read things close to you 2. you forget things 3. you sleep a lot 4. you think 10 p.m. is late 5. you don't even think of going out at 11 p.m. 6. you wake up at like 5 a.m. and say, "OK." 7. you walk for 10-minutes and think, "why am I walking?" 8. you keep telling yourself, "I feel young." 9. you think about retirement 10. your friends die 3

Kinnock
Fascinating thread. I'm 63 but don't feel old. I keep my weight under control, run, cycle and surfskate regularly, and I'm just setting up a new on-line business so keep my mind active. But I'm a bit worried that I may wake up one day and feel 'old'. If I couldn't do fun outdoor activities any more (or fun indoor activities!), I would not want to carry on. Do we suddenly become old one day?

Most people think I am younger than I am. I guess one reason is that I don't have any grey hair until now and enough hair on my head. I don't feel "old" but realistically I have to admit: - There was a time when I could drink a lot until 2am, wake up at 7am and work productive the whole day. Not anymore. - There was a time when I had sex for hours, and then some more. That's was some time ago... - When I was in school my mother lay down on the sofa for an hour after lunch. It seems that was something for old people. Now I like to lay down for an hour after lunch. - The list goes on and on. I still like sexy cute (legal) girls who could by now be my grand daughters. And they are nice enough to make me feel young. But I guess it's better that I don't ask them if they think I am old... Love it!

I had a beard in my 30s, then I had to cut it off as I got dandruff in it. Now I don't get dandruff, so all good. BTW, the guy in that famous book about how to do sex was wearing a beard. Heng
Still feeling great but like any generation, hearing about "your" famous people dying while your kids have to Google who they are. Who's Tom Petty, Fidel Castro, or Chuck Yeager? Picking up (to be honest: pointing at their number tag) girls that were born in 2000 is an in your face reminder.
