  • I think the "fully vaccinated tourists" have more to be worried about than the local population... There is no "quality" vaccine being offered for free in Thailand. Locals stand a better chance going

  • Tested less than 10% of the population over the last year and declared Thailand virtually free of covid!   Now have vaccines plans only..... not reality for less than 30% and they want to op

That comment says more than one can imagine.  The deep analogy should cut a swath across this governments vision as it makes it very plain to see how idiotic the PM is in his view.

Good post, but if we run scared of what is a small number of deaths in Thailand, from the Covid, and insist on vaccinations to severely reduce these numbers, why are they not putting the same tactics and resources into supplying a working vaccine and full vaccinations against the flu/pneumonia, which kills far more people in Thailand

It seems that even without the vaccinations in Thailand , there have been very very few deaths , based on the population of 68 million. we keep seeing lots of words like " could, maybe, possibly likely " on what may happen without the vaccine but after 17 months, very very few of these have proved correct .

The problem is there when it is there . Not wearing a seatbelt in a car is not a problem , same like not wearing a helmet when driving a bike . It only is a problem when you crash , but by then it is too late . Now , Thailand is in a difficult time , at 1 hand they want to open , as they see their tourists going other places but at the other hand they do not have the vaccination needed to do it freely . IF they have a outbreak , before the vaccination has protected a large amount of population , then not only the tourism fails , but also lots of other sectors , and not setting you back 1-2 months but at least 3-4 months . And the problem is , they need to make plans for weeks/months ahead , which is very difficult if you do not know how far you are in vaccinating . Also , as we seen over here in Europe , they have tried to make a timeline for summer , and with restrictions being lifted , and while most countries have very rapid declining numbers , others like UK suddenly are having the Indian mutation flaring up , setting you back again .

Give it all 2 months more and we will see a bit clearer , remember where we come from a few months ago , there is light at the end of the long tunnel .

Have you even considered the possiblity that the reason so few people in Thailand are being hospitalized or killed by Covid is precisely because of the protective measures now in place? If not,  consider how hospitalizations and deaths from flu have tumbled so much that they have been almost non-existent during flu seasons throughout the world.

Looking forward to the interractions between fully vaccinated tourists, going maskless, loudly bragging about how they are fully vaccinated with the best vaccines, for free, while the serfs wait on them.

The Dr forgot to add whilst wearing flippers and playing the accordion ????

Adding "whilst wearing flippers and playing the accordion" would certainly make for an interesting visual! It could add a playful and unexpected element to the performance. Thanks for the suggestion—I'll keep it in mind as I work on improving the song.

Haha, that would definitely add an unexpected twist to the musical performance! Flippers and an accordion might make for a comical image, but who knows, maybe someone out there could pull it off with style. Thanks for adding a touch of humor to the discussion!
