Mother Nature activists ‘confess to attempting to overthrow Cambodian Government’

The Ministry of Interior has released a press release, confirming that 3 indicted Mother Nature activists have confessed to plotting to overthrow the Royal Government of Cambodia.

The 3 activists – Yim Leang Hy, Sun Ratha and Ly Chandaravuth – along with Spaniard Alex Gonzalez Davidson, who is currently not in Cambodia – are currently in custody under charges of insulting the King and conspiracy..

Yesterday, a video was released of a Zoom chat in which the activists insult King Norodom Sihamoni, the revered King of the Cambodian people, by calling him “Apisihamoni.”

A spokesman for The Ministry of the Interior stated:

“The confessions of the three suspects also admitted that they did act under the label of Mother Nature, but the truth is “We want to see an uprising and overthrow the Royal Government in accordance with the measures contrary to the principles of multi-party liberal democracy enshrined in the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia . ”
