Bangkok in Dire Need of Hospital Beds

BANGKOK, June 25 (TNA) – The government rushed into preparing more hospital beds for COVID-19 patients in Bangkok where there were as many as 107 clusters of the disease’s outbreaks, rising by eight over the past 24 hours.

PM unsure 7-day lockdown of Bangkok will stop spread of COVID-19

Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha remains non-committal on the proposal to lockdown Bangkok for seven days, to contain the ongoing spread of COVID-19, saying that he has to consider the issue very carefully and hear the opinions of all stakeholders, including people in the capital, about the impacts from such drastic action.

Command centre for foreign tourists set up in Phuket ahead of July reopening

A command centre, called “EOC Phuket Sandbox” has been set up on the resort island, with 70% of its equipment installation complete. Phuket will be the first province to welcome fully vaccinated foreign visitors, without quarantine, from July 1st, according to the government.
