Hutch Monthly Paid Mobiles - Are They Locked?

Both the phone and the sim appear to be locked to each other (I mean a different sim wont work in the phone and the sim wont work in a different phone). I need either because the contacts is in a mess and the contacts manager on the Samsung phone is appalling...

Thanks - so if I put my r-uim card (if that's the correct term for a CDMA sim) into another CDMA phone, it may mork?

Normally: Yes!

If not I suggest to go the MBK on the 4. floor and let "unlock" the phone because yhe card will works in all phones with the same system! Only if the phone itself is locked you can't use a different card. So let unlock the phone!

Is MBK an outlet on the 4th floor of pantip?

MBK is a big Shopping Center at Siam Square!

thanks - that's my thai info snippet of the day firmly remembered. I'll call in on my way back to Koh Chang from Hong Kong (CDMA non existant there).

I very much doubt that what you want can be done for CDMA phones...the CDMA standards themselves vary quite a bit and I reckon there must be a reason why all the CDMA phones are sold by the carriers...I've never seen an unlocked CDMA phone for sale. Quickest thing to do for your specific problem is to just go to a shop in MBK that has compatible USB cables for both your phones and have them transfer the contacts.
