No Kamagra left in Sukhumvit pharmacies?

I just got a box of 100mg, new packaging and new design of sachets (easy to squeeze).

2x more expensive then the last time several years ago

You're talking about Kamagra gels, right?  If so, yes, the new design is much better.

Problem is, there isn't any more in in the Sukhumvit pharmacies, according to the one I went to today.

There not under license anymore  Mr Fixit-- therefore you don't have to buy foreign ones, have you tried the Thai made ones they have been selling them for about 8-9 years now--I think they are about 50 baht each. There called  Sidegra.

Thailand to sell generic Viagra drug: officials

Thailand has approved an affordable generic version of the anti-impotence drug Viagra to go on sale next week, as the country looks to combat rampant counterfeit production, officials said Wednesday.

The Thai diamond-shaped little blue pill, which resembles the original produced by US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, is called "Sidegra" and will be available on prescription across the country on October 1.

I know all about them thanks. I have tried them for a while and gave them up because they were useless , because they are made by the GPO.

I spoke to my local pharmacist who speaks great English and he says not to buy GPO if you can help it because the quality is not as good as buying generics.

And the GPO Sidegra is the same price as the Indian Kamagra so why waste money on something that doesn't work - for me.  I have a specific problem that means that my testosterone is low so I need all the help I can get.  ????

Kamagra is an indian made brand of Sildenafil. It is not registered for use in Thailand but back when there were tourists, some pharmacies were (illicitly) importing it because so many tourists were asking for it by name.. With no tourists there is little incentive to keep doing so, since Thais know and buy the locally made versions.

There are several Thai made generic equivalents:

Sidegra

Elobza

Sildenafil GPO

Silatio

Sildera

These work just as well, only advantage to Kamagra vs these as far as I know  is the gel form, these come only in pill form.

You should have no trouble getting any of the above at any large Thai pharmacy (i.e. avoid the tourist oriented places,) but they may ask to see a script.

Cialis is a different drug altogether,  it is Tadalafil and there is no locally made brand only the import which of course is ecpensive.

Sidegra is made by the GPO and didn't work well for me so I suspect sildenafil GPO is probably just the same.

I haven't heard of Elobza, Sildera or Silatio so will look for them  but if they are like Sidegra, then they won't be as effective as Kamagra which worked 100% until about last March - see my various other threads on here.

I'm surprised the pharmacist didn't mention these other ones.

As to Sidegra, see my post above where I say -

'I have tried them for a while and gave them up because they were useless , because they are made by the GPO.

I spoke to my local pharmacist who speaks great English and he says not to buy GPO if you can help it because the quality is not as good as buying generics.'

I know that Cialis is tadalafil and I have used it effectively in the past, but stopped due to the cost.

I also know that Levitra is vardenafil but the pharmacy I went to said they hadn't had any stock for about 6 months.

Understand that the Indian is your one of choice-- however you can not seem to obtain them.

I would think that unless someone gives you a BKK address, your best bet would be Pattaya--with all the tourist gone, they would probably have stocks. There is a small shop on 2nd rd next to the Villa shopping center..... you can pick the name up on Google street map or someone here will send it to you. She always had a lot of stock--there was a group of us in Issan that would buy from her, send the Baht and she posts or sends same day.

You can also do something about low Testo---but I guess thats for another thread......

It's not my 'one of choice' - it's the only one I know of.  I have now learned of some Thai equivalents, but as the Thai Sidegra was very poor and not very effective, I am sceptical about the others although I will have a look for them and try any I find.

There are about 20 small pharmacies in the lower Sukhumvit area which all do ED meds under the counter so no need to go all the way to Pattaya.

I did once try to buy some in Pattaya many years ago but refused because wherever I went was about 50% more expensive than in Bangkok.

I've been having testosterone replacement treatment since 2005 - search the forum for my various threads (about 3) on the subject.

Stock up on all your meds, you never know when there's going to be a shortage which could last many months.

Personally I tend to keep about a years worth of anything I might need, keep it cool which might involve a special fridge set at a non normal fridge temperature - more like a 'wine cellar'

Yes, I found that my testosterone shots were in short supply, so now I have about a dozen in the fridge.

I have enough Kamagra for about a dozen bonks too.  Then it's celibacy from then on ...

I will trawl around various other pharmacies though - someone may still have some on a back shelf.

Getting the rest of my meds isn't a problem, it's the imports that are.

Just love those organisms [sic] in the morning.

Me too,  but those days are long gone.  In my younger years, it was my favourite time just after waking.

Huh?   Organisms in the morning?    Organisms?

Edit:  If sarcasm is too subtle it doesn't work, if you were being sarcastic.   Or maybe you had just had an "organism" and weren't thinking straight.

Interesting, have you tried them, does it work? Would be nice to know what's in them though. Is it just vitamins?

Some sachet Kamagra here was/is? fake - I was surpirsed that they were sophisticated enough to package it in foil, but that is what the bust 'photo showed. t might have been  - if they bought high quality generic Sidafanil and properly dosed it no reason with a gel why not just as good as Indian.

Kamagra in gel form, genuine or not I don't know, is available along with many other things from "Pharmacists" who operate from pavement stall;s on lower Sukhumvit from 4 pm onwards.

This is EXACTLY what is happening - particularly with stuff that was bought more by tourists e.g - Proviron and Andriol oral Testosterone are out of stock. Bayer told me Proviron won't be back in stock until Q4. A similar situation with Testosterone injectable can't be ruled out, but it does have legitimate medical use locally.

If its just to give you a lift in the relevant department no need to take Karmagra.

You might find Grakcu a lot easier to obtain and works just as well. Costs a couple of hundred baht .I believe the active ingredient is Cialis. Don't believe all that ' Chinese herb ' nonsense. Box of 6 lasts me 6-7 months. I take half a capsule every 2-3 weeks .  For me, the main reason is that if my blood pressure starts creeping up , half a tab of Grakcu normalizes it for about a week. Works a lot better than any blood pressure medication I've tried.

You should have read my other three threads!  Do a search back <smile - emojis still not working>
I've tried it and it barely did a thing apart from give me indigestion, which I had been warned about.

I have quite severe ED and testosterone deficiency (being treated) and am due to see the andropause doc again next Tuesday to try to sort things out.

I know.  That's what I wrote about in my OP.  The Kamagra gels and pills I get certainly work.

The problem is that the pharmacists all seem to have run out due to no imports from India for the foreseeable future.
