Isn't fish oil good for you?

Anyway, you say it arrived frozen solid. How large was this order and how do you thaw out what you want without the rest getting into that dangerous re-freezing cycle? There's a wholesale place in Udon where it is more economical to buy a 'case' of cod fillets and split the cost between friends sharing. But the thawing and divvying up always seems such a chore and a health risk.

It is, I  eat Salmon and Kippers, for fish and Chips I prefer Haddock ,Pollock,

and COD,  each packet was still frozen, packed separately , the wholesale COD

you refer to, will most likely be Pacific COD. processed in China ,

regards Worgeordie   PS I did not type it like this, its the way it came out .....

Yes, individually cryovac packed fillets is best for the home consumer. The wholesaler in Udon has reverted to doing that since his restaurant trade has dropped off the planet and becoming more dependent on the personal shopper.

I always preferred haddock anyway as cod is a 'dirtier' fish when it comes to parasites. Haddock tastes better and maybe because the sources are fewer, the consistency is better. Cod can be iffy regardless of what ocean or country it has come from.
