Travelling from Pattaya To Bangkok

Delight

Recommended Posts

I have registered with   MEDPARK-via the app.

I  believe Pfizer will be used.

My query,

I reside in Pattaya.

Will there be some special dispensation -given that I am not allowed to travel to Bangkok?

Good question

People tell me that I cannot leave Chonburi.

Is your information different?

You can travel with a good reason.

Getting a vaccine is a very good and officially approved reason.

Do NOT travel past curfew or you're subject to arrest.

There is no bus service.

Take a screenshot of the SMS and/or email from the hospital in case of being checked (unlikely)

You can also use this app only on the day of travel. Do not register before then:

https://covid-19.in.th/en

Generate the barcode and take a screenshot of it.

You'll be good to go. Have a pleasant journey.

Of course with a vaccination appointment you can drive to MedPark.

It's one on top of justified reasons for travel.

No problems to expect.

Swiss embassy did the maximum effort and wrote "laissez-passer" (pass) letters in English and Thai. But really some printed document with the appointment will serve the purpose if asked for at all.

I would have driven 450 km to there if not another local opportunity had opened.

Baiting post IGNORED.

No it was not. He just told you he drove and get some car parts and no problem. Also asked you why you are making it so big, by using the word scaremongering which was a well chosen word in my opinion.

I said checks on the road are very unlikely. I did the trip myself for a vaccine and there weren't any checks, but there could have been. But the truth is the policy is there -- interprovincial travel is strongly discouraged (especially when involving DEEP RED zones) and you are SUPPOSED to have a good reason. If this wasn't true, dude, why is that travel permission website still up? Hmm?

https://covid-19.in.th/en

As far as the curfew which I think is 9 PM, yes people are subject to arrest for being out during that time (yes there are valid excuses but nobody is going a vaccine that late). Is stating FACTS scare mongering? Hmm?

BTW, no need to reply. I have no patience for HECKLERS. Bye.

Doesn't having a website registering for travel help facilitate it?

Asap, please. What a bunch of unhelpful d.heads on this thread. No doubt COVID-denier idiots into the bargain.

I too drove back from Bangkok today, encountered no checkpoints, FWIW.
