Hello, I recently got rid of an Air Conditioner as it was too old and needed a lot of compressor work to get it back to normal operations but I kept the motor/blower assembly to plug into a patio outlet and use on hot days for my dogs that stay in my garden 24/7.  The problem I'm running into is hooking up an extension cord to the motor, if I'm reading the sticker on the motor correctly it says combine the brown and white wire, but there is no brown wire coming out of the motor.  The motor has five wires; black, green, white and red and blue, no brown.  I know it can be wired up and plugged into an outlet as the AC removal guys hooked the motor up with alligator clips and showed me the motor is ok, but I didn't take notice of which wires they hooked up. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

Green will likely be earth (check it's connected to the metalwork).

Do you have the capacitor?

Do you have a multimeter to check the winding resistances?

I'd read Red for Brown, link Blue and White (connect to the neutral supply), Black to the Live supply. But check the winding resistances first before connecting anything.
