I don't know how safe it would be, but otherwise good news for the fully vaccinated returnees planning to go back after October. Hopefully no CoE and quarantine at all.

Tada, they found the magic plan that will allow reopening. Rabbit successfully pulled from the hat. Wait, isn't that what needed to be done anyway.

Wow, this great new plan has been step one in most other countries... about time Thailand figured it out   "vaccinating as many vulnerable people as possible, such as the elderly and those s

That's too early! Can continue making money on overpriced Chineese vaccines, quarantine facilities, labor traffic, etc! Still a lot of business ideas... need more money for watch collections!

Then the other problem they have is with their own people and vaccine rollout and being able to provide enough vaccinated locals to support and staff the services tourists require.

Another issue is - how many locals have had a shot of sinovac which offers little to no protection from delta - that is a huge issue

The fully vaccinated tourists are not the problem

Dirty Farang, bring virus to Thailand.

They are if they don't come!  Why would ANY tourist want a holiday where the air is carcinogenic; the police allow cop-killers to walk free; there are violent protests on the streets; multiple daily deaths on the roads?  It would be like trying to  sell two-weeks-in-Beirut breaks a few years back!

Seems many Farangs will put up with all that s--t for sexy girl, now they're all back farming in the villages Farang not come.

...if it is discovered that 10% or more of the workforce in a workplace test positive, they will be isolated in a field hospital, while the rest of the workers can continue to work, but will have to be isolated at their place of work for 28 days, after which they can return to their families.....

What?

28 Days Forced labor?

Crazy ideas here.

Given that Covid-19 is now endemic in Thailand and unlikely to be wiped out, Foreign arrivals just need a simple Vaccination/test regime - fully vaccinated, PCR test/lateral flow test 3 days before departure, lateral flow test on arrival. Maybe another lateral flow 7 days later. Minimal disruption to holiday/life.

Dont forget the BS health insurance.

Most likely a seperate policy for Covid, and both having to be Thai companies.

Many tourists will already have their own home policies paid for, therefor another 2 lots of corrupt, useless, waste of money scams will be forced on them.
