Si Racha – A reportedly intoxicated motorbike driver was woken up by a rescue worker on a road in Si Racha earlier this week, with local residents at first thinking the rider was deceased.

Rescue workers were notified of the incident on Nong Kwae – Amata City Road in the Borwin sub-district at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday (August 25th).

Rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the motorbike driver lying on the road. At first, the rescue staff thought he was seriously injured or deceased-only to be shocked when the completely uninjured driver woke up after they began to conduct a physical health check on him.

He was later identified as Mr. Pitak Kaewnamkam, 25, a security guard of a nearby Nong Kwae company. His damaged motorbike was found nearby, also lying on the road.

Ok, alive. Yeah, but then all good. Just go home and sleep it off. Get back on the road tomorrow and try the same thing again.

I hope he wasn't riding home after being on duty all day?

I wouldn't think he's any good as a security guard.

I think the "relaxed" body muscles from being three sheets to the wind offer some advantage and protection from injury when tipping yourself off your scooter.

Not that I'm speaking from experience, of course.  :coffee1:

Surprised no one took his pulse while waiting for paramedics.

not more thai driving standards !!!!

Fine example of being "dead drunk" ya think?

Come on guys, read the full story.

Mr. Pitak reportedly told first responders, “I was leaving a party with my friends after work before driving back home.”

Not really, the defacto rule here not to get involved lest you get roped in as a contributory factor to cause of injury or death, especially if someone thinks there's money to be extracted. Heartless and counterintuitive I know, but there it is. Á propos - this nearly happened to a Farang aquaintance of mine who took a pulse at a road accident scene. He managed to extricate himself from the situation after some hard questioning, and was subsequently warned by Thai friends not to to do anything so stupid again.

But we'll qualified to be a 'sleeping policeman.......

Nice to see his mororbike taking a sleep by the roadside.

Thais can sleep anywhere.
Ok time for nap, I am falling off the bike now, looks good to me....  zzzzzzzzz

Either way...

It’s unfortunate he wasn’t dead because next time he’ll probable kill someone
