geovalin Posted September 4, 2021 Share Posted September 4, 2021 In a case of gamekeeper turned poacher, the former director of the Anti-Drug Office of the Takeo Provincial Gendarmerie, Chhun Somethea, has been charged with trafficking over 2kg of drugs. Also accused is a female accomplice named Ken Chanry. During the hearing today at Phnom Penh Municipal Court, the accused categorically denied that he had committed any of the alleged crimes – stating that he was a military officer in the anti-drug unit, so there was no reason for him to commit a drug offense. However, his female accomplice admitted the charge, saying that she and the accused were drug dealers and had sold drugs to an anti-drug police agent.
