Chonburi – A 46-year-old driver became stuck inside the cab of their vehicle after two trailer trucks collided in the Mueang Chonburi district yesterday.

The Mueang Chonburi Police were notified of the accident yesterday (September 6th) on the Chonburi – Ban Bueng Road in the Nong Ree sub-district.

Rescue workers arrived at the scene to find two damaged trailer trucks on the road.

Inside the cab first responders found the driver, Mr. Duan Boonchamni, 46, who was stuck. Rescue workers used a hydraulic cutter to free him.

Let me be the first to speculate and make unfounded assumptions; all involved were playing with their phones, unlicensed, asleep, drunk, road rage, and surfing the web.

What the report says is that a car stopped suddenly in front of the first trailer and the one behind was driving too close/fast to stop. Perfectly normal occurrence on any Thai road any day. The only difference here was that it was two trailer lorries instead of cars.

Am I alone in noticing that the general standard of driving has taken a steep plunge recently. It's worse than dodgems!

So often I have the front of such a hooligan filling my inside mirror. Criminals at the wheel.
