The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) today, September 10th, has warned of a severe tropical storm “Conson” that is currently located over the upper South China Sea is likely to cause thundershowers and isolated heavy rain all over Thailand.

At 4.00 A.M., the severe tropical storm “Conson” was centered at latitude 15.8 degrees north and longitude 113.3 degrees east, with maximum sustained winds of about 95 kilometers per hour. The storm was moving west about 20 kilometers per hour.

It is expected to intensify and move near the coast of upper Vietnam on Sunday, September 13th. Thundershowers remain over Thailand with isolated heavy rain. People should beware of severe conditions and stay tuned for weather updates.

I saw that the government is preparing for flooding and for rescuing people on the news a few minutes ago.  Looks like they finally found a use for the submarines.

Nah. These subs aren't suitable for floods. Too tall. Get entangled in power and phone cables!

Very little rain up here today but the skies are becoming darker but could be just the evening getting closer.

Maybe that's because you're toofarnorth

86 mm west of Chumphae yesterday.

New beach in Pattaya three times this last week.

We had a huge storm in Kalasin Province around 2am, completely filled the roadside ditches which are wide and at least a metre deep. They're usually most useful in stopping cars and lorries that can't follow a straight line and veer off the road. Even forced water under a roof join and down the wall of one room (combination of wind direction + poor workmanship dictates which wall gets affected during any heavy storm). Water pouring from the roof like a waterfall.

But that's okay. The soggy season has been too dry, despite us being warmed early in the year that the season would be wetter and longer than usual. But we aren't supposed to remember that. Being a weather forecaster is a great job. You can be wrong 100% of the time and people just expect that and so you never get fired. Anywhere.

The weather report refers to Sunday the 13 th September actually its the 12 th .

No wonder they can't get the weather right when they don't know what day it is .

Another failed prediction.

Days ago they (accuweather) predicted the storm going much further north.

Now pointing exactly to our direction

There's hardly any rain in Chiang Mai. Bring the rain to the northern part to cool down the weather and also water the crops.

Well since the rainy season is almost over, it is refreshing to see a storm come in and

help fill up the reservoirs around Thailand.  I am hoping for drier weather in December and January, when

it is High Season for tourism. and some international travelers will be wanting to escape the cold Winter of

Europe, Russia, North America, and such.

We had a discussion in here about this at one time.  It grew out of one member having a misunderstanding with his Thai missus about television scheduling.  It seems to many people tomorrow does not begin at midnight.

Stupid farang not know today tomorrow same same.

Almost over? Really?

The whole of October can be ugly.

I expect at least one more month.
