No guarantees of entertainment/nightlife opening for October tourism reopening proposal in Pattaya, officials want to focus on cultural and natural activities

Pattaya, Thailand-

Chonburi officials have been non-committal about any potential reopening of Pattaya’s popular bar, nightlife, and entertainment industry in October, despite a proposal to reopen the city to foreign vaccinated tourists similar to the Phuket Sandbox increasingly likely to happen in some way, shape, or form.

Some good work going on there

Jab bus rolls out to inject hope for homeless and vulnerable Bangkokians

Bangkok’s vaccination bus brought much-needed Covid protection to homeless and other vulnerable people at three locations on Wednesday.

A Bangkok Mobile Vaccination Unit (BMV) visited Ratchadamnoen Road in Phra Nakhon district, Hua Lamphong railway station in Pathum Wan, and Nana Road in Khlong Toei.

Latest vaccination numbers show almost 40% now received their first jab and a over 18% fully vaccinated.

Still on schedule to meet the 70% fully vaccinated target in December.

Good posting. But unfortunately at least 80% of the adult population is the required standard, perhaps even 90%.

Anything less and it will soon be 40000 daily and 300 plus deaths.

Guess that’s where the “learn to live with it” kicks in as there are more announcements almost daily and seems it will be prior to reaching those targets.

UK is just about learning to live with it. Perspective is important: after all we don't go in to lockdown in bad flu seasons and covid19 resembles that when 90% vaccination is reached. There certainly is a point where we have to say we've done all we can, regardless.  I mean if people won't take the vaccine then they must live with the consequences.  It's certainly easier to live with it if you've been double jabbed, but if you haven't had the chance then that is grossly unfair.

Countries tend to change their mind when hospital capacities are breached- that wouldn't take long in Thailand.

In my opinion, if Thailand fully opens before December it will soon be in lockdown again.

It really is about getting as many people jabbed as possible, particularly old uns.
