Thais have been advised to think before they click - a warning from the RTP about falling prey to online fraudsters.

Spokesman Pol Col Krissana Pattanacharoen warned the public that criminal elements were likely to use the latest government benefits package to the people as a reason or precursor for their activities.

Yesterday and today many Thais in the social security system were due to receive 2,500 baht, reported Daily News.

Krissana said problems online with criminals could come in the form of links on phones, computers, SMS, websites.

Don't click on links you're not sure of and make sure you use OTPs from a trusted source, was the overriding message.

If it's too good to be true, I still trust my lucky amulet. .

A couple of off-topic troll posts have been removed.

This is the Thailand News Forum, not the Pub.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

At first I thought the headline was meant for those like me who make critical comments on the powers that be. Not that it would make much difference I suspect. Photo shoot craving t*****s. ????

Whatever you'll say and warn people, there will always be those gullible and credulous one that just has to click and open everything they get on-line. and on those the scammers preys on..

 "Think before you click!"

I Don’t Think… just reject and report any call or message that I do not recognize.

From me to Thai police- "think before you use plastic bags."
