Not Sure What Theyre Called

Featured Replies

I'm looking for an electronic display board....

The ones that tend to have a black casement and have red writing that scrolls across them.

Their's one on the bridge near sure motors in town. And another one on the road from chalong to phuket town. (In case im not clear on the explination)

Need one around 5 foot long and a foot tall.

Any ideas anyone or roughly the cost of them ??

Thanks in advance

Hi Nathan,

just 2 days ago I saw a new shop and think they have what you are looking for.

Its opposite TESCO when you turn left into bypass road, they have a big neon sign outside. I can have a look later on and check.

Gerd

Check out www.animasign.com - they have offices in Bangkok and Pattaya, probably elsewhere as well.

Thx Gerd,

Ive been there , they do have signs similar but the lights are fixed so you are unable to change the writing once you have chosen a particular design

well decided to go to the shop near tesco 22000 baht for the sign ,

for everyones info if interested they start at 5000 for a small simple one ( for instance the word "open" ) up to around 30,000 depending on amount of info required.

word of advice though take someone who can speak thai they canna speak da english.

Oh, I see what you mean,... don't know where to find them though .... in Pattaya I'd try ask around in Tukcom - maybe in Amorn shop, they ought to know where to get stuff like that.

Phil,

the shop I've mentioned before is an ANIMA branch!

Just opened some days ago.

Gerd

Ok Can't they take a rectangle and place a bunch of LEDs in it and program it so that it looks like letters are sweeping across the sign.

That's basically how the other type of sign you were looking for works.

the lights in one column light up and then turn off and then the column to the left light's up.
