Ads in the forum based on clicking history or other algorithm?

I didn't know what topic to put this in.

I always read about how ads in online forums are targeted and determined by the interest users show.

So if people keep clicking on them the same ads keep appearing or appear even more frequently.

So my question is "Who keeps clicking on the Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner ads?"

Many ads are personalized for every individual user. I see i.e. ads about parts which I previously searched for on google or Lazada.

So if you see ads for X then likely you or another user on your computer searched recently for X...

Knowing this forum I was expecting this.

Often the humor on here is thinly masked hostility.

Never clicked on the Jenner ads and yet they are always there.

It is predominantly a question of the web browser you use and how you configure the options on that browser if any options are offered. Without configuration options, ads are generally served on the basis of your browsing history.

Outta curiosity, what is Jenner pushing or promoting?
