webfact
By Natcha Patanasophon Opposition parties this week called for the government to control rapidly rising living and production costs in recent months. Rising fuel prices is the main concern and the government is being urged to lower taxes. “The rising living costs are affecting everyone,” said Sirikanya Tansakul, the deputy leader of the Move Forward Party said on Thursday. “Farmers are facing higher production costs from the increased in prices of fertilizers and fuels, at the same time as a drop in crop prices.” Full story: https://www.thaienquirer.com/34502/opposition-calls-for-action-on-spiralling-inflation/ -- © Copyright Thai Enquirer 2021-10-30 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
hotchilli
I've noticed rising prices at street level already. Supermarkets are targeting certain goods to hike up the price.
4MyEgo
This was bound to happen post pandemic, now all the big banks and that hand full of people (no names mentioned) at the very top have to do, is sit back and watch those interest rates rise to make more bacon. Henryford
Does Thailand issue a CPI figure like in the West? The UK is a joke saying that inflation went DOWN in September to only 3.1%. Just checked Thailand does have a CPI, it was 1.6% in September ha ha. Edited October 30, 2021 by Henryford
xtrnuno41
Nice, about a year ago you could have oil for free and now no one can t afford. The country i live in, cant call it my country, has the highest price in the world for petrol and most of it is tax. And even gas prices rises as corona cases. They "forgot" to fill up reserves for winter when prices were lower. And again most of the price is tax. They are thinking of lowering tax, ha, first see and then believe. There is something rotten in Denmark, however not only Denmark.
