Is there somewhere a person can buy the big round bales of straw and/or hay?

What area are you located in?

 

Not easy ,Chok Chie  farm near Pack Chon ,south of Korat use  big straw bales and have sold them ,for how much I would not know .as for big bales of hay ,almost impossible to find in Thailand .

As FJ said where are you ,with their difficult in finding them and transport costs could well make them an expensive bale .

Big bales are all right ,if you have the equipment to handle  them,either a  spike for a front loader,or a spike  on the rear end both of which would have to be made as a one off , not available off the shelf, it can be done in my area I can think of 2 firms that could make them .

I would say you would be better off with the small bales. brought local.
