Speedo1968
Any one tried sending liquids to UK by EMS ? Normally send by DHL twice a year, as products not available or very expensive in UK. Can get "off the shelf" here. My local PO in Banphai won't accept. Had same problem sending Christmas cards in 2020 - yes cards ! KK no problem. Banphai did accept a large box of childrens gifts and no meat / fish Thai snacks - Thai logic ?! Did send a limited edition T-shirt one year by EMS but my daughter had to pay duty in UK
Moonlover
Here is an old, but probably still valid, thread on this topic. I recall being unable post some liquid cosmetics out of the UK a number of years ago.

When I sent by DHL it cost around 6K baht the shampoos etc about 1,000 baht, however my daughter says the items are either not available or much much more expensive than sending from here. She has a form of Caribe afro hair ( took her about an our to brush etc every morning before school ) so products are much more specialised, however a common brand of shampoo here seems to work well as do the conditioners.
HashBrownHarry
I know that DHL will not let you post fluids.

OP - No problem when I sent shampoos and conditioners ( 7kg ) earlier this year and last year too. They pack in their own box and list every item. Delivery took less than a week and no problems in UK

worgeordie
Something has changed regard posting certain items, a couple of weeks ago I tried to send some Cashew nuts, and dried fruit to UK , cannot do because they were just packed in poly bags, the PO says they need to show all ingredients, manufacturer's' name, address Etc , On the other side my daughter tried to post me some tins of John West Kippers , cannot do , so she went to another P.O. and they said nothing , regards worgeordie

Depends on your health physical and emotional condition, obviously it will also depend on your diet, environment, age etc. My daughters have very different hair, their mother is from a particular island in the Caribbean so the indigenous population will be different to those of other islands. One has thick straight hair the other Afro, both typical of their ethnic background. One tried to straighten her hair and lost it all, so once grown back hair care had to be different. Having to help a child trying to get ready for school whose hair takes an hour to brush / comb makes a suitable hair care treatment ( shampoo et. al. ) important. I lived and worked in many countries from extreme heat to extreme cold, often working outside, and finding a single hair care treatment for myself took time but I found baby shampoo to be fine. kokesaat
Food for thought: While in Houston, Texas for 5 months (6 years ago), caring for a cancer patient, my wife ran out of her favorite body cream. You'd think....with all the varieties in the US, but no......she wanted the one she's been using for 20ish years. Our daughter found it on Amazon......it came from Jamaica, same brand, same cream. Last year, marooned in the US for 13 months due to Covid, my wife ran out of Salz toothpaste. Nothing else will do. Our daughter found it on Amazon.....probably a few hundred baht per tube, but whatever makes the wife happy. You might be surprised to find that particular brand of shampoo available where you're at....search for it in English, Thai

In the UK, no. Have sent before and no tax. Have sent Christmas boxes by post and gain no tax I sent a limited edition T-shirt once by post to UK many years ago, it was held at airport until my daughter went to collect and tax was more than the cost of the T-shirt
